Create SEPA file with Excel or Access

You have created an administration program in Excel for your club or manage incoming and outgoing payments in Excel, Access or other software with a csv export function and want to process your payments using the new SEPA format in the future? Does your bank want to force you into overpriced software for which you have to buy an expensive update every two years? Are you looking for a simple and inexpensive solution without this difficult to use and complicated banking software? Then you are exactly right here. Ex-Sepa is now in productive use in over 6 countries including Switzerland.

In the free download area or at the magazine externer Linkc't (Excel to SepaXML converter) you can download Ex-Sepa and of course test it extensively.

The performance features of Ex-Sepa are clearly summarized here.

By the way: You can save yourself additional programs such as SFirm or StarMoney at most banks, the financial transactions can be imported directly via the bank website using the SEPA XML files generated. Always ask your bank how you can submit Sepa XML files first.

Unfortunately, many bank branches no longer know what customer service means and leave customers out in the cold. Here cheap is really cheap .... The customer then has to bear the costs by having to buy the home banking software himself. A free account isn't everything.

An overview

The new SEPA data format was finally introduced on August 1, 2014 and replaces the old DTAUS procedure for direct debits. The old account number and bank code are obsolete.

SEPA direct debits and SEPA transfers are available in the following countries:

Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Great Britain, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Latvia, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Switzerland, Sweden, Spain, Slovenia, Slovakia, Czech Rep., Hungary and Cyprus.

Here it is now possible to do the following banking transactions

CDD SEPA core direct debits

Changeover from the old account number to IBAN

In order to switch to SEPA, the old bank details must first be converted from your data table to the new IBAN and BIC format. If you have Excel at hand, this is done quickly: The free and unlimited tool Ex-Iban converts the old account numbers and the bank code into the new IBAN and BIC immediately.

In addition to Germany , Ex-Sepa has been in productive use in AT, CH, FR, ES, IT, BE and NL since 2012 . With this Excel program you can easily generate collective transfers and collective direct debits in SEPA format from your Excel or Access application. Ex-Sepa and Ex-Iban can also be obtained from the program collection of the externalcomputer magazine c't.
